The 2015 Pilot EX vs. the Pilot EX-L
The 2015 Honda Pilot just hit the showrooms at Tri-State Honda Dealers, and even if you’ve already decided on the brand new Honda Pilot, there are quite a few other choices to be made. We’ve had drivers asking us about which they should choose in the 2015 Honda Pilot EX vs the 2015 Pilot EX-L. We break down the features for you and offer a compromise.
The EX Trim
Like every Pilot, the EX comes with a 3.5L V6 with 250 hp and your choice of two- or four-wheel drive as well as some of the best standard features in its class—Bluetooth, a touchscreen infotainment system, a rearview camera, and more—while adding on the following:
- 18-inch alloy wheels
- HomeLink remote system
- 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat
- Security system with remote entry
It’s a step up in technology features over the basic LX trim level.
The Pilot EX-L
The EX-L takes everything from the EX and adds on
- Leather-trimmed interior
- Leather-wrapped steering wheel
- Heated front seating
- 4-way power adjustable front passenger seat
- Automatic dimming rearview mirror
Basically, the EX-L offers drivers luxury and technology in one convenient place, and you can add on the DVD rear seat entertainment system or Honda’s satellite-linked navigation system.
Other Pilot Choices
The 2015 Pilot SE s brand new for 2015 and splits the difference between the EX and EX-L trim levels, coming with all of the features of the EX while adding on unique alloy wheels, a rear seat DVD entertainment system, a one-touch power moonroof, Special Edition badging, and more.
Don’t forget about the well-equipped entry-level Pilot LX and the stunning top-of-the-line Touring trim level.
Test Drive a Pilot
With five trims to choose from, it can be tough to figure out which Pilot is right for you without a test drive. Visit a Tri-State Honda Dealer near you to take a look at our available Honda Pilot models; we think there’s a Pilot for practically every driver.
