The 2015 Honda Fit Declared the Hottest Sport Compact at SEMA 2014
We’re still catching up on all of the news from the 2014 SEMA show, but we thought we’d share with you the most exciting thing that came out of the event for us: The 2015 Honda Fit was named the “Hottest Sport Compact” at SEMA. We’ve been saying it since April, that the 2015 Fit was a game-changing vehicle, but we always love finding out that others feel the same way.
Now, Honda did bring nine custom Fit models to the show, but we want to stress that it was the successes of the standard Honda Fit that caused SEMA to grant it the “Hottest Sport Compact” title.
Nine Custom Fit Models?
You read that right, Honda had nine different 2015 Fit’s in their booth at SEMA 2014. Six of them were part of #ProjectFit, Honda’s Tumblr campaign that let fans vote on six different sport-tuned Honda Fit models produced by a variety of different auto customization teams.
The Fan Favorite was the Honda Fit Tjin Edition, with models from Bisimoto Engineering, Spoon Sports USA, MAD Industries, Kontrabrands, and Kenny Vinces. The other three models at SEMA included an additional Bisimoto custom Fit, a Fit B-Spec race car built by Honda Performance Division (HPD), and then a Fit that was simply loaded with some of the best official Honda accessories that you can find at dealerships like ours here at Tri-State Honda Dealers.
In short, SEMA was an excellent show for the Fit, for showing drivers everything the vehicle is capable of, whether you’re willing to go all out and partner up with a team of auto customization experts or you simply want to add on some Honda accessories. That certainly makes it seem quite deserving of “Hottest Sport Compact” to us. What about you?
